› Jacksonville jobless rate drops after two months of increases
After two straight monthly increases, Jacksonville’s unemployment rate headed back in a positive direction in August. The jobless rate in the Jacksonville metropolitan area — consisting of Duval, Baker, Clay, Nassau and St. Johns counties — fell from 5 percent in July to 4.7 percent in August.
