The Morris Lapidus-designed Lincoln Road pedestrian mall is among Florida’s top retail destinations, with rents averaging $300 per square foot and tenants including Apple, H&M and dozens of restaurants. But Lincoln Road was never designed to handle the 6 million people who visit it annually.

Two Orlando entrepreneurs have scored a Kickstarter home run by raising pledges of more than $144,000 in two weeks for their subscription sunglasses startup, shadesclub. Shadesclub offers monthly delivery of sunglasses, for $20 per month, designed locally by the founders, Rick Amundson and T.J. Eaton.
