Florida remains ensconced as the third-largest creator of private sector jobs nationwide behind California and Texas. Florida State Parks offer free admission for Veterans Day
In honor of Veterans Day, all visitors will enjoy free entry at Florida State Parks on Wednesday, Nov. 11. About half of Florida's veterans are seniors
About half of Florida's veterans are senior citizens, and a plurality fought in the Vietnam War. Figures released Tuesday by the U.S. Census Bureau show that almost a third of Florida's veterans are from the Vietnam War era. More at the AP.
Florida plans export mission to Korea, Taiwan
Florida Secretary of Commerce Bill Johnson will lead the mission to Seoul and Taipei, the capitals of the two Asian countries, from April 15-23, said Enterprise Florida, the state's economic development group. More at the South Florida Sun-Sentinel.
