Norwegian Cruise Line announced today that is will base its largest ship, the Norwegian Epic, at Port Canaveral, starting in November 2016.

› Black bear hunting permits now on sale in Florida
For the first time in 21 years, black bear hunting in Florida will be legal, and permits are now on sale. Permits to participate in the week-long black bear hunt officially went on sale Monday and will be available to purchase until Oct. 23.

› FPL's parent company boosts forecast through 2018
NextEra Energy, the parent company for Florida Power & Light. Co., reported higher revenues and profits for the second quarter than analysts had expected.
