Alhambra Theatre

Before it was shuttered in 2008, the Alhambra Theatre was America's longest-running professional dinner theater and a Jacksonville icon since 1967. Now, nearly three years after local entrepreneur Craig Smith bought it and refurbished it, the Alhambra is on the way back. At its peak 10 years ago there were nearly 5,000 season ticket holders before that number dwindled to less than 1,000. Today, the theater has close to 4,000. The last four shows have sold out, and Smith has added summer camps and family programming.
