› The Bitcoin Bowl’s Popular Success
Since 2008, the St. Petersburg Bowl has taken place yearly. In 2008 the sponsor was MagicJack. More recently, BitPay sponsored the event. BitPay didn’t even sponsor the event with their brand name. They intended to raise awareness for Bitcoin. However, their humble approach to advertizement only gave them more publicity.

› Grant awarded to plan for health effects of climate change
A Florida county has received a $10,000 grant to prepare for the health effects of climate change. The Florida Department of Health awarded the grant to Manatee County's health department to develop plans to safeguard public health against the effects of climate change.

ThinkUp is a year-old subscription service that analyzes how people behave on Twitter and Facebook, with the goal of helping them become more thoughtful, less reflexive, more empathetic and professional.

› Mednax buys anesthesiology practice in Tennessee
Mednax,a specialty physician management group based in Sunrise, has acquired an anesthesiology practice in Tennessee, the company said Monday.
