Kevin and Kristina Grainger started their own business a year ago, a restaurant on wheels called Ain't No Thang that specializes in grilled chicken wings.

They did not realize at the time that starting the business in Sarasota County, where they live, would prove to be so difficult.

In the months since, the Graingers have concluded that Sarasota County's rules governing food trucks are so onerous that they cannot operate here. Instead, the couple regularly drives their truck more than an hour away to peddle their wares.
