Florida ranks No. 2 in tech job creation

In just the first six months of 2014, Florida has created nearly as many tech jobs as the state did in all of last year. That puts Florida in the No. 2 spot , behind only Texas. [Source: Tampa Bay Business Journal]


More Florida visitors pay off with jobs

Investment in Florida's tourism industry resulted in nearly 76,000 jobs created in 2013, according to a new Florida TaxWatch report. Health insurers raise 2015 Fla. exchange rates

The majority of insurance companies are raising the price of health plans in Florida through the Affordable Care Act exchange. State insurance officials said Monday that 14 companies filed plans, including three new insurers. [Source: AP]


Gas prices tumble in Florida
