The return of the 1970s anchorman Ron Burgundy to the big screen has put Mort Crim back in the spotlight.

Crim is the inspiration for the character Will Ferrell introduced to audiences in 2004 in “Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy” and brought back last week with the release of “Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues.”

Crim moved to Northeast Florida in 1998, a year after he retired as a TV news anchor in Detroit, and now lives in Queen’s Harbour.

NOAA's ship, Okeanos Explorer, carrying scientists and the ROV Deep Discoverer (D2), has arrived at site “Northwest Gulf Mid-Depth." Today (4/17/2014), the ROV will visit two Monterrey shipwrecks.
