The key to growing an economy lies in: (1) determining which industry sectors are most likely to prosper; and (2) creating the kind of nurturing environment that will appeal to innovative companies within those sectors. In that regard, Florida stands head and shoulders above other states. Once dependent largely on agriculture and tourism, Florida’s economy today is highly diversified and targeted to specific, fast-growing industry clusters.
