Former U.S. House Speaker Newt Gingrich (R-Ga.) told Florida delegates he believes Republicans can win the Medicare debate in this presidential election. "Frankly, at the Villages, when Paul Ryan introduced his mother, I think we began to decisively win this argument because practical, commonsense senior citizens looked up and said, 'Let me get this straight, Joe Biden and Barack Obama really believe this nice young guy's going to hurt his mom?' They said, 'I just don't believe it.' The truth is as all of your know, the Romney-Ryan plan does nothing to affect anyone over 55."
