Healthier lunches

Orlando moms deliver the goods

Jerry Jackson | 5/20/2011
Samantha Gotlib (left) and Debbie Blacher are two busy Orlando moms who fretted about the food children get in schools — and how time-consuming it was to fix healthier lunches. During a neighborhood pool party in 2007, they decided to pursue a business idea, and Wholesome Tummies was born. Gotlib has four children and a marketing background. Blacher has three boys and an MBA. The company they formed now delivers thousands of lunches in dozens of public and private schools in Florida — and in March awarded a franchise to a mom in Atlanta.
