"Sometimes I consider chicken a vegetable."

Whether it's the Nobel Peace Prize, a Pulitzer, induction in the Pro Football or Baseball Hall of Fame, there are some awards that truly stand out and Delray Beach resident Evan Darnell definitely knew the feeling when he was inducted into the White Castle Cravers Hall of Fame in late April at the company's corporate headquarters in Columbus, Ohio.

Darnell was one of thousands of applicants and only 14 inductees in the 2025 class and said the fast-food burger chain has been "a lifelong passion."

"I don't know how many people in the state of Florida have the same honor, but I'm sure a lot of people have the same love of White Castle," said Darnell, a dedicated carnivore who locally founded the Red Meat Eaters Club.
