The FAU Foundation, Inc., connecting private philanthropy to powerful possibilities within the University's leading-edge mission, announces the appointment of three staff members. Katie G. Burke, Ph.D. was named Assistant Vice President of Alumni and Community Engagement and is responsible for the overall direction and management of community engagement and alumni relations. Kristine Gobbo, Executive Director of Advancement Communications, oversees communications with the university's donors, alumni, friends and other stakeholders. Karen Galea, Ph.D., Director of Foundation Relations, develops strategies and proposals in partnership with university leaders, faculty and staff to secure significant gifts and grants for FAU's endeavors.
