State launches new travel website for military

In honor of Veteran’s Day, Gov. Ron DeSantis on Monday announced the launch of a new military-friendly travel section on VISIT FLORIDA’s website. It’s a consolidated source of Florida travel information for service members, veterans, and their families. “The site includes information about discounts and experiences available to military members and their families, monuments and memorials, military-related events, museums and more,” a news release said. Task forces will get more scrutiny over toll roads, Florida officials announce

State transportation officials announced additional meetings and resources for the task forces studying three new proposed toll roads. After outcry from task force members, the Department of Transportation said Friday that it was adding two more public meetings and getting data on the potential projects to members sooner than previously scheduled. Liftoff: SpaceX rocket launches from the Cape

A SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket carrying 60 communication satellites launched from Cape Canaveral Air Force Station this morning and succeeded at landing the first stage on a drone ship at sea. Fuel-theft rings fill South Florida roads with ‘moving bombs’

These criminals lug huge amounts of stolen gas across South Florida’s roadways, hiding hundreds of gallons in modified trucks and SUVs.
