Collier County Arts & Culture Strategic Plan: Community Forums Announced

Naples, Fla. – The public is invited to join the conversation about enhancing the future of arts and culture in Collier County as part of the county’s Arts and Culture Strategic Plan process. A planning taskforce led by top cultural and community leaders, in partnership with consulting team, The Cultural Planning Group, is gathering input from the county’s arts, culture, and creative sectors, patrons, advocates, and residents.

“We are focused on engaging all Collier County residents throughout the planning process,” said Jack Wert, executive director of the Naples, Marco Island, Everglades Convention and Visitors Bureau. “The public’s input on the current state of arts, culture, and creative opportunities is essential to helping us better integrate these into the priorities of local government and the community overall, creating a dynamic arts and culture destination, with greater access for all.”   

Attendees are encouraged to share their opinions and ideas about the county’s arts and cultural future. Numerous engagement opportunities are being afforded to residents including: a community online survey (coming in mid-September),topic-focused discussion groups, open community forums, and social media.

The Collier County Arts & Culture Strategic Plan is a long-term collaborative effort of Collier County Government the Naples, Marco Island, Everglades Convention and Visitors Bureau and United Arts Council of Collier County, in partnership with The Cultural Planning Group. Its mission is to evaluate, establish and successfully promote Collier County as an art and culture destination.
