Florida Senate to convene rare workshop on Medicaid expansion
President Andy Gardiner, R-Orlando, is convening all members of the Florida Senate on Tuesday to discuss the precarious situation involving the health care budget. The move is unusual, especially given that lawmakers have just 10 days until the scheduled end of the 2015 session. But few things about this year's session have been ordinary. Commercial mortgages triple in South Florida
Overall commercial mortgage volume more than tripled in South Florida between 2009 and 2014, according to a study released by Miami-based BridgeInvest, a private mortgage lender. More at the South Florida Business Journal.
Scientist: Florida python hunt didn’t help control threat
