Florida job creation slows down in January
Florida's job creation machine slowed down in January, according to a regional report released Wednesday. Payroll processing company ADP estimated that Florida added 11,610 private sector jobs in January. That marks a big drop-off from December. More at the Tampa Bay Times.

EDC to open hub in downtown Miami
With $175,000 in support from the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation, EDC will base its Miami-Dade operations at Pipeline Brickell, a co-working center, and contribute to the growth of more than 40 Miami startups in the next 12 months. Joining U.S. marketing aimed at tourists from abroad
Southwest Florida tourism agencies have teamed with the nation's travel-promotion organization to pitch to key international visitor markets.
