Hurricane season 2026: AI changing future of forecasting

Forecasting hurricanes can be a big challenge, as small atmospheric changes can quickly shift a storm’s path or intensity. Predicting where a hurricane will go and how strong it may become requires forecasters to analyze massive amounts of data in a short period of time. Now, artificial intelligence is becoming a helpful tool that meteorologists could use to improve forecasts and provide earlier warnings before storms hit. Michelin Guide adds 7 new Central Florida restaurants, including 1st nods for Brevard, Lake counties

Several Orlando-area eateries have made their debut in the prestigious Michelin Guide, earning a distinction that could unlock opportunity and drive more diners their direction. The guide unveiled its selection of Florida restaurants for 2026 on May 28. JTA cutting services, increasing fares to make up for projected budget deficit

The Jacksonville Transportation Authority is set to eliminate some routes and increase some fares in order to make up for a projected $17.5 million budget deficit in fiscal year 2027. JTA plans to trim services for some of its bus and ReadiRide routes, and shorten hours for its Downtown Neighborhood Autonomous Vehicle Innovation service. It would also transition ReadiRide service into Uber fares, while increasing bus fares that it had lowered in a pilot program months before. More from the Jacksonville Daily Record.

Italy’s top pizza guide names these Miami spots among the best in the country

The most prestigious Italian pizza guide has released its annual lists of the best pizzerias around the world, and several Miami spots have made the list, including a beloved slice shop and a swanky new(ish) restaurant in Wynwood. Sometimes referred to as the “Michelin Guide” of pizza, 50 Top Pizza has released its annual rankings in several categories, including the top 50 pizza spots in the United States and the best slice shops.
