Best Companies To Work For in Florida 2025

To identify Florida’s best employers, Florida Trend partnered with Workforce Research Group, which surveyed firms that chose to participate. Any firm with at least 15 employees in Florida, including firms based outside the state, could participate at no cost. The first part of the survey involved a questionnaire about company policies, practices and demographics. The second part went to a randomly selected group of each firm’s employees, who responded — anonymously — to 72 statements on a five-point agreement scale. More from Florida Trend.

FAU Report: South Florida's economy outpaces national growth

A new report from Florida Atlantic University said South Florida’s economy continues to outpace national growth. It said this growth is driven by strong gains in employment and a surge in new business creation. “What we see is that the South Florida economy — particularly Palm Beach, Broward and Miami-Dade counties — grew at a much faster rate than the overall U.S. economy,” said Bryan Cutsinger, an assistant professor of economics at Florida Atlantic University. Jupiter Bach unveils $4.2M expansion at Pensacola manufacturing facility

Jupiter Bach unveiled its new, multimillion dollar Pensacola facility during a grand opening event on July 31 to a crowd of supporters including dozens of employees and local leaders. Jupiter Bach, a manufacturer of wind turbine covers, spent $4.2 million to build the new facility. It adds about 20,000 square feet to the site, as well as new technology like advanced crane systems. Dr. Phillips Center set for multimillion-dollar expansion

The Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts has bought two parcels of land near its downtown Orlando campus with an eye on expansion. The arts center, which opened in 2014 and is celebrating its 10th season, announced the purchase this morning without providing much information on its plans for the land, but local arts leaders familiar with ongoing discussions said the addition of a new theater was a popular topic in recent community forums. New CEO takes over Tampa Bay Innovation Center

The Tampa Bay Innovation Center has named a new CEO and is planning to rebrand. The St. Petersburg-based nonprofit innovation hub named Rebecca Brown to run the organization. Brown is the founder of Core Satellite Partner and has advised growth-stage companies, founders and family offices "on scaling businesses, building operational frameworks and driving impact." Exhibit traces history of journalism at Ringling Museum

A different kind of exhibition will have a brief run at Sarasota’s The Ringling, focusing on the history of journalism and the media and the role the news business plays in society. “Moments of Truth: An Exploration of Journalism’s Past, Present and Future” is a project of the St. Petersburg-based non-profit Poynter Institute, which offers training in a variety of subjects related to the media, and its MediaWise media literacy program, coordinated the exhibit to mark its 50th anniversary.
