Cleveland Clinic has named Conor Delaney, M.D., Ph.D., as President and CEO of the Cleveland Clinic Florida region. Delaney, who brings over 30 years of medical experience to his new role, will oversee a region that includes five hospitals, a state-of-the-art research center and numerous outpatient centers located in five counties across Southeast Florida.

El pagnier Kay "EK" Hudson was appointed FIU's first vice provost for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, leading a new division created to address inequities at the university. Hudson also was promoted to the position of senior vice president for Human Resources. She previously led FIU's anti-racism efforts through the university's Equity Action Initiative.

Malena Mendez-Dorn has been named President/CEO of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Broward County (BBBS). Mendez-Dorn, who starts in January, comes to Big Brothers Big Sisters after holding lead sponsorship and fundraising roles at the Broward Center for the Performing Arts. She has been a great supporter of BBBS and its mission of igniting the power and promise of youth.

Legal Aid Service of Broward County and its Board of Directors have announced Patrice Paldino, Esq., M.S.Ed will be the organization's next Executive Director, effective January 1, 2021. Paldino is driven to improving the lives of under served members of our community and has a great track record of identifying necessary resources to effectively serve those most in need.
Family Support Services of North Florida, the lead agency for foster and adoptive services in Duval and Nassau counties, has appointed Jenn Petion its new president and chief operating officer. Petion's extensive experience working with the Florida Legislature and her passion for the state's community-based child welfare system will serve her well in the new role.
Alissa Dhawan, CPA, MBA, has recently joined HBK CPAs & Consultants' (HBK) West Palm Beach, Fla., office as Senior Manager, returning to her home state from the firm's Mid-Atlantic region. Alissa provides forensic, merger & acquisition and other financial consulting. She specializes in transactional due diligence and auditing.

Ronald Christaldi, Shumaker, Loop & Kendrick, LLP business lawyer, and the President/CEO of the public affairs firm Shumaker Advisors Florida, LLC, has been elected Vice Chair of the New College of Florida Board of Trustees. The Board has responsibility for governing the college, which is the State of Florida's legislatively-designated "honors college for liberal arts."
Francisco Sánchez, who served as the Under Secretary of Commerce in charge of the International Trade Administration from 2010 to 2013, has joined Holland & Knight as co-chair of the firm's International Trade Practice. Mr. Sánchez will split his time between the firm's Tampa, Fla and Washington, D.C. offices.

United Way of Broward County has announced the appointment of Gary Rosen, Managing Shareholder of Becker, as the new Chair of its Board of Directors. Rosen has been a major donor since 2012 and involved with the Alexis de Tocqueville giving society since 2015 while serving on several of the organization's committees.
