With nearly 50 years of legal experience, Lauren Detzel is chair of the Orlando firm’s estate and succession planning team. She specializes in techniques to reduce or avoid paying estate tax, such as family limited partnerships, grantor retained annuity trusts, sales to intentionally defective trusts, charitable trusts, lifetime gifts and generation skipping trusts. In essence, her experience spans the entire gamut of estate and trust administration. Detzel is a founding board member and chair of the University of Florida Tax Institute.
