In St. Augustine, James Whitehouse specializes in city, county and local government law, working primarily with local governments in northeast Florida. He has represented various local governments and provided counsel to government officials and administrators — appearing before boards, agencies and courts concerning various zoning and comprehensive plan matters. Projects include hotels, marinas, dry stack storage facilities, restaurants, condominium projects, demolition permits and other related development approvals. Whitehouse provides pro bono work to several nonprofit organizations in St. Augustine and Jacksonville.
