Each year, FLORIDA TREND looks at opportunities to diversify our media offerings, and it’s an endeavor we don’t take lightly. Before launching a product, we establish that it meets several criteria. First and foremost, it must align with FLORIDA TREND’s brand and fulfill our mission to inform, educate and engage our audience. And, of course, it must make good business sense.
I’m excited to share two such products that meet that high bar that we’re incorporating into FLORIDA TREND’s brand of offerings.
First, in May, we will be launching a new Podcast — FLORIDA TREND Executive Perspective. Once a month, Executive Editor Amy Keller and I will sit down with a C-suite executive from the Sunshine State in a living room setting for an in-depth conversation about their role, mission and vision for the organization they lead.
The conversation will explore the personal and professional sides of our guest. We’ll discuss their background, the lessons they learned growing up and the experiences that helped shape who they are today. We’ll also get into the realities of business: the wins, the challenges and what it takes to build a strong company culture. Expect candid insights into current market conditions and industry trends, as well as lessons in decision-making. And beyond the boardroom, we’ll touch on the personal interests and passions that keep these leaders grounded and inspired.
Through these authentic conversations, viewers and listeners will discover the individual behind the organization’s leadership and come away with deeper insight into their approach to both business and personal success. You’ll be able to listen and watch each episode via FloridaTrend.com and across industry streaming platforms.
Additionally, we’re excited to launch a stand-alone annual publication — Florida Trend ICON. In 2026, FLORIDA TREND celebrates 20 years of Icons, enduring portraits of Florida’s most recognizable and important people, told in their own words. Our first Icon, Wayne Huizenga, set a high standard for what it means to be an Icon. Since then, honorees have been chosen based on their experience, influence and contributions to Florida.
Florida Icons are a breed of their own. They don’t just make decisions; they drive decisions and have a lasting impact on the state.
In this inaugural, high-gloss Florida Trend ICON publication, our editorial team distills two decades of Icons — more than 240 influential figures — into a landmark collection of visionaries who built, transformed and continue to shape Florida’s economy and industries. Our Florida Trend ICON magazine will be published in mid-July and distributed to all subscribers of FLORIDA TREND.
As FLORIDA TREND evolves and expands our offerings, we remain focused on and committed to our number one goal — and that’s to inform, educate and engage our readers and to do so with the utmost editorial integrity.
