Nova Southeastern University's H. Wayne Huizenga College of Business and Entrepreneurship (HCBE) is reshaping its MBA program for 2026 with a clear emphasis on flexibility, technology and sectorspecific leadership. As of January, NSU delivers its 12-month, 30-credit MBA fully online, while continuing to offer on-site options at its Fort Lauderdale campus and in West Palm Beach for corporate partners such as NextEra Energy and the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office.
"The shift to a fully online option reflects how today's professionals want to learn," says Ronald J. Chenail, executive vice president and chief academic officer. "But we're equally committed to maintaining in-person formats where corporate partnerships and cohort interaction add value."
The MBA currently offers concentrations in business, entrepreneurship and finance, with additional tracks launching later this year. Among them is a new health care management concentration designed for professionals working in hospitals, health systems, insurance and health tech. "Health care delivery and financial stability are becoming increasingly complex," Chenail says. "We developed this concentration in direct response to the growing demand for leaders who understand both operations and innovation in health care."
NSU is redesigning the MBA to embed AI tools and data analysis across core courses, emphasizing business planning, forecasting and resource optimization. "Our goal is to prepare students for data-driven leadership, not just exposure to new technologies," Chenail notes. Collaboration with NSU's College of Computing, AI and Cybersecurity gives students experience with data modeling and visualization tools used in modern organizations.
