Two Democrats and two Republicans found common ground April 22 over ... hot rotisserie chicken.

The "Hot Rotisserie Chicken Act," if approved, would allow recipients of the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) to use benefits to purchase the popular cooked chickens found at such grocery stores as Publix and Walmart, along with such warehouse clubs as Costco Sam's Club.

Currently, SNAP does not allow the purchase of hot prepared food in the U.S. or Florida.
