"In this digital stratosphere, we embrace a more analog approach."
Didn’t get away for spring break to Mexico? Next best thing: a buzzy new immersive experience called Tequila Town in Miami, near Hialeah.
The 25,000-square-foot attraction — part pop-up, part theme park, with a dash of nightclub — is now inside Toledo House, next to Factory Town event hall.
You’ll begin the 45-minute journey with a welcome drink and “passport,” which will be stamped as you enter a symbolic “train.”
The converted car, filled with seats and fast-moving images LED screens, doesn’t go anywhere but gives you the illusion of traveling through agave fields.
The destination? The playful conductor will explain you are headed to La Rojeña, the oldest distillery in Latin America, in the town of Tequila, in the state of Jalisco, and where Jose Cuervo is still produced.
