In Delray Beach, a beloved coffee shop’s dispute with the city boils down to one issue: parking.
City officials recently gave Subculture Coffee at 302 NE Sixth Ave. about three months to figure out a solution to what the city says is not enough parking at a location that hosts community gatherings.
City officials say they don’t want to shut down Subculture but believe the coffee shop is not in compliance with city rules. Subculture owner Rodney Mayo believes meeting the city’s parking requirement is impossible and could lead to a relocation for Subculture Delray.
