"Art is the ultimate luxury."
Four buildings on the corner of 4th St. S and 4th Ave. S in downtown St. Petersburg got a bright pink makeover ahead of Valentine’s Day last weekend.
The Pepto Bismol-colored paint job is part of a marketing campaign to promote a new luxury high-rise that will eventually replace the vacant buildings.
The forthcoming Roche Bobois St. Pete Tower is named after a French furniture designer who has teamed up with Clearwater-based Valor Real Estate Development to create a 29-story condominium rooted in principles of art and design.
The project will include 160-plus residences, more than 4,000 square feet of ground-floor retail and restaurant space and a 5,000-square-foot public arts plaza.
