For a quarter of a century, the Polk Museum of Art has purchased pieces at Lakeland’s annual Mayfaire-by-the-Lake art festival. Now, the museum is showing off its purchases at a new show called “Volvo Mayfaire-by-the-Lake Purchase Awards: 25 Years of Collecting,” running May 10 to Aug. 17. The exhibition opens the same day as this year’s Mayfaire festival, May 10-11, downtown at Lake Morton. Details:
