Each winter, Miami Beach becomes the center of the art world. A star-studded, Super Bowl-sized crowd of around 100,000 people is expected to descend on the town for Art Basel from Dec. 6-8 and the accompanying Miami Art Week from Dec. 2-8. Convicted felons who served their time, registered to vote and cast ballots in the 2020 election in Florida are still waiting to learn whether they will be punished for what they have called an honest mistake. The alleged illegal voters said they thought they had their rights restored in 2018 when Florida passed an amendment clearing the way for them to participate in primaries and general elections. KidCare expansion gets federal OK after yearlong delay. Then Florida rejects it
The approval issued Monday by the federal Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services would enable 42,000 Florida families to get health insurance for their children at reduced rates through an expansion of the state’s KidCare health insurance program. But that approval is contingent on Florida complying with a federal rule that would prohibit the state from dropping children’s coverage during a 12-month period even if they missed a premium payment.
