    Metro Development Group has already turned heads with its unorthodox approach to community planning with amenities like huge lagoons, high-speed data and internet inside every home and solar streetlights.

    Now, the company wants to make health care a staple part of future communities.

    Metro recently unveiled a new partnership with BayCare Health Systems to provide telehealth services and a 24-hour on-call medical concierge service to help residents at the Epperson and Mirada communities access health care.

    And residents will also have the convenience of a new health clinic that will be constructed on a roughly 15-acre lot at Epperson that BayCare purchased for $12 million on Sept. 4. The facility will include a free-standing emergency department.
