Starting as a bail fund that assisted clients who were arrested for protesting, the Miami firm transitioned under Alex Saiz’s leadership to offering full-service legal aid. To date, the firm has assisted more than 11,000 low-income clients and recently was awarded a grant from the Carrie Meek Foundation through its Supporting Safer Communities Grant Program. In turn, Saiz’s most effective pro bono work revolves around expanding access to justice for marginalized communities. He spearheads initiatives that provide free legal aid to low-income individuals, focusing on areas such as housing rights, immigration issues, and criminal justice reform.
