Now Optics
Tara Pellegrino is general counsel for Now Optics, a Florida-based retail eyewear firm with 1,300 employees
in 375 sites in 31 states. She oversees legal affairs, from employment, regulatory and tax issues to real estate and franchising. Pellegrino represents Now Optics in litigation matters, manages outside counsel and works closely with top executives. She has set up processes to minimize risk and improve workflow; build-out of her department led to a 50% reduction in outside legal costs. Before Now Optics in 2018, she was senior counsel for Broad and Cassel (now Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough). Pellegrino is devoted to rescue animals and advises the nonprofit United Yorkie Rescue.
