Florida Surplus Lines Service Office

The Florida Surplus Lines Office (FSLSO) is a not-for-profit organization created by statute to provide service and guidance to the Florida surplus lines insurance sector. The surplus lines market provides coverage for unique risks that the admitted market is unable or unwilling to insure, thus insuring the uninsurable. Florida is one of the largest surplus lines markets in the U.S. as measured by the billions in premiums written annually.

With service in our name, FSLSO has made it our mission to serve the surplus lines community and our employees by providing a collaborative and engaging work environment. We conduct regular compensation studies to ensure we continue to offer a competitive benefits package. FSLSO encourages its employees to maintain a healthy work/life balance by offering a wellness program with challenges and incentives, ample and fully earned leave time, and a hybrid in-office and remote work schedule.

We also focus on employee and community well-being by sponsoring community service activities and donating to local and national charities. FSLSO encourages employee growth and development by allotting annual budget for employee training and professional development and a tuition reimbursement program. Making FSLSO a friendly and rewarding place for employees helps us better serve the Florida surplus lines community and makes FSLSO one of the best companies to work.

Gator with missing jaw finds home in Florida park

A Florida reptile park has taken in an alligator that lost its nose and upper jaw to a fight or boat propeller. Gatorland Orlando said over the weekend that the injured alligator came from a lake in nearby Sanford, about 20 miles (32 kilometers) northeast of Orlando. “She had basically no chance of surviving in the wild with such a severe injury,” the park said in a social media post.
