The way Lulu’s Delray Beach — a brand new cafe and lounge three blocks off Atlantic Avenue — came about is pure happenstance.
The five owners, all pals from the hospitality scene in New York City, happen to spend a lot of time in Delray Beach. Even the way they found the location was a bit of fluke.
“We just walked by it,” says Nicola MacSweeney, the managing partner of Lulu’s, in the former Banyan restaurant location. “During COVID some of the lads came down here.”
Maybe it can all be chalked up to the luck of the Irish.
