COVID-19 Hospitalizations See Slight Decrease

The number of people hospitalized in Florida with COVID-19 decreased slightly during the past week, according to data posted online Monday by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. The data showed that 1,351 hospital inpatients had COVID-19, down from 1,374 a week earlier. Also, it showed that 243 people with COVID-19 were in intensive-care units, down from 290 a week earlier. COVID-19 hospitalizations have stabilized and are far lower than during the summer, when the highly contagious delta variant of the coronavirus caused a surge of cases. Cases steadily decreased in September, October and the first part of November.
