Live Oak Theatre and Conservatory to Offer Acro Class for Boys and Girls

| 8/19/2021

Live Oak Theatre is pleased to announce that it will offer a “Junior Acro” class for boys and girls ages 7 to 12. Students will learn safe tumbling and stunt techniques, how to fall properly, and spatial awareness. Thursdays 3:00-4:00 pm.  The class will be taught by Gavin Yorro.

Gavin is also developing a “Primary” acro program. More to come in future releases.

Gavin Yorro has been tumbling since he was five years old.  He has trained in acrobatics, gymnastics, and martial arts and loves working with kids.  He has adopted a safety-first mentality that shines through in all aspects of his teaching style by breaking stunts down to their most basic forms.  Students will be able to understand how their body is moving so that they can perform a stunt safely and with excellence

Cost of classes at the Live Oak Conservatory is determined on a “credit basis.” Extensive information is provided on the Live Oak Theatre & Conservatory website. Visit www.LiveOakTheatre.org/conservatory

To compliment Live Oak Theatre’s tradition of bringing top notch musical theatre entertainment and training to our community, our Conservatory offers classes in dance, music and drama which together make up a well-rounded and versatile performing arts educational program. Children… and adults… can take these classes to enhance their creative and artistic skills and combine them with other fine arts and performing arts skills.   The Live Oak Conservatory is Hernando County’s one stop destination for education in the performing arts!
