Babcock Ranch nears 1,400 homes sold, surpasses 1,000 closings

Solar-powered town reports 342 year-to-date contracts

| 6/24/2021

BABCOCK RANCH, Fla. (June 24, 2021) – Kitson & Partners announced that Babcock Ranch has reached nearly 1,400 new homes sold and surpassed 1,000 closings, with home sales at 1,386 and closings at 1,027. The fast-paced sales activity has been fueled by 342 home sales year-to-date in America’s first solar-powered town, located just northeast of Fort Myers on Babcock Ranch Road/State Road 31.

“Achieving these sales milestones month after month – and sometimes week by week – is an incredible testament to the homes and lifestyle of Babcock Ranch,” said Syd Kitson, chairman and CEO of Kitson & Partners.

Encompassing 18,000 acres, with 19,500 planned residences and 6,000,000 square feet of commercial space, Babcock Ranch ranked 34th on both RCLCO Real Estate Advisors’ and John Burns Real Estate Consulting’s 2020 list of the country’s 50 top-selling master-planned communities.

Construction is nearing completion at Crescent B Commons, the 82,640-square-foot Publix-anchored shopping center at a new entrance to Babcock Ranch about one mile south of the signature Babcock Ranch bridge.

With homes that fit every lifestyle, along with new neighborhoods and Crescent B Commons opening soon, Babcock Ranch continues to fulfill our vision of a vibrant new hometown that’s full of possibilities,” Kitson said. “Whether you’re raising a family or enjoying an active retirement, you’ll find everything you need to stay healthy, active and connected.”

Babcock Ranch began marketing new homes in 2017, with the first residents moving into the town in January 2018. Today, Babcock Ranch offers homes from seven homebuilders in seven neighborhoods. Created by Kitson & Partners with respect for the natural environment and the philosophy that smart growth and sustainability work hand in hand, half of the town’s footprint is set aside as greenways, parks and expansive lakes, providing recreation and scenic backdrops for Babcock Ranch’s homes and the Founder’s Square downtown district. Babcock National brings golf to Babcock Ranch with an 18-hole Gordon Lewis-designed course as the centerpiece of Lennar’s new lifestyle community.

Babcock Ranch homebuilders offer more than 50 home designs ranging from 1,120 to more than 4,000 square feet. Homes appeal to young millennials, families, empty nesters and retirees alike, with prices ranging from the $200s to over $1.5 million. Built to Florida Green Building Coalition standards, homes emphasize energy and water conservation and offer a full gig of fiber-optic connectivity.

Within Babcock Ranch’s welcoming neighborhoods, more than two dozen model and quick-delivery homes are now open or under construction by AR Homes by Arthur Rutenberg, Divco Custom Homes, Florida Lifestyle Homes, Lennar, Meritage Homes, Pulte Homes and WCI.
