Orlando-based DeCurtis launches shield against COVID

Amy Keller | 10/28/2020

For years, Orlando-based DeCurtis has sold cruise lines software that eases boarding and disembarkation from ships, streamlines food and beverage ordering and coordinates cabin cleaning schedules. In March, the company launched DeCurtis Shield in response to the pandemic. Company kiosks, which can be placed at entry and exit points as well as in high-traffic areas, allow for touch-free temperature screening of passengers. Based on the data recorded, a ship could adjust its protocols to contain any potential outbreak of disease, as well as better track where clusters of illness are occurring on board.
