Florida doctors develop PT Genie - a virtual surgery rehab

Amy Keller | 9/25/2020

Performing a typical shoulder surgery takes Dr. Reuben Gobezie about 30 to 35 minutes. To better track and guide patients’ progress, Gobezie and Dr. Laurence Higgins, an orthopedic surgeon and vice president of strategic development at Naples-based medical device company Arthrex, came up with PT Genie — which uses a sensor-based system to guide patients through their exercises at home.
