Tervis puts 118k sf campus on market as result of coronavirus

| 6/4/2020

NORTH VENICE, Fla. (June 4, 2020) – Tervis has engaged Ian Black Real Estate as the exclusive listing agent for the drinkware company’s 118,849-square-foot manufacturing campus at 201 Triple Diamond Blvd. in North Venice.

“When Tervis went remote due to COVID-19, we learned some valuable lessons,” said Tervis President Rogan Donelly. “Our team members proved to be efficient and productive working from home. And more importantly, they were happy.”

Nick DeVito, II, SIOR, and Michele Fuller of Ian Black Real Estate will serve as the listing agents for the property, which comes to the market with an asking price of $14.5 million. They will also be representing Tervis in their search for a new warehouse facility and new executive office facility.

The main facility on the property, built in 2005 and expanded in 2011, includes over 96,400 square feet comprised of nearly 58,000 square feet of manufacturing space, 5,600 square feet of mezzanine space and nearly 33,000 square feet of office space. The second building, built in 2014, includes a 16,400-square-foot warehouse and 6,000 square feet of office space.

“The facility is a well-designed manufacturing plant suitable for a corporate headquarters,” Fuller said.

The property has excellent visibility, with over 800 feet of frontage on Interstate-75 and more than 84,000 cars passing daily. It features easy access to I-75 and five airports within a one-hour drive-time. Built with tilt-wall construction, the well-maintained buildings include 14 overhead doors with eight loading docks, tall ceilings, ample power, a large truck court and an abundance of parking. The buildings are entirely climate controlled and have sprinkler systems throughout.

“Not many facilities around the state can boast the bullet points that this building presents,” DeVito said. “There might be a total of a dozen other buildings that this one would compare to in the entire state.”

Tervis leadership is currently seeking other locations in Sarasota County for its manufacturing facility and corporate office space for upper-leadership. Many corporate office employees will be encouraged to work from home.

“We have been part of the community since my grandfather relocated here in the 1950s,” Donelly said. “We are committed to being an active member while continuing to produce great products.”
