SPCA Tampa Bay Waives Adoption Fees for Cats and Pocket Pets This Week

Largo, Fla. (October 29, 2019) – SPCA Tampa Bay will waive adoption fees Wednesday, October 30 through Friday, November 1 for certain pets. During “Purranormal Cativity,” orange and black adult cats and all pocket pets can be adopted without a fee from SPCA Tampa Bay.

More than 120 cats and pocket pets (rabbits, birds and more) that are furry, bouncy, feathered or slithering are awaiting a loving home. Pocket pet companions come in all shapes and sizes and they are waiting to be adopted.

When: 1-7 p.m. on Wednesday, October 30 through Friday, November 1

Where: SPCA Tampa Bay, 9099 130th Avenue North, Largo, Florida 33773

How: View adoptable pets on SPCATampaBay.org or come to the shelter in Largo. Animals are available on a first-come, first-served basis, and potential adopters are encouraged to come early to the shelter. A cat carrier or housing that’s appropriate for travel is required for adoption.

Past fee-waived adoption events have helped more than 100 animals find new loving homes in only a few days, which frees resources for SPCA Tampa Bay to provide care and shelter for animals in our community. SPCA Tampa Bay cares for more than 8,000 animals each year.
