The Florida Aquarium Celebrates 11th Year of Brews by the Bay

TAMPA, Fla., - Who knew conservation could taste so good? Mark your calendar for the 11th annual Brews by the Bay at The Florida Aquarium on Friday, October 11, 2019. Enjoy over 100 beer tastings and various food samplings from 30 local Tampa Bay restaurants. This event is sponsored through the generosity of Pepin Distributing Company and Aramark.

Take in the beautiful BLUE landscape of the Aquarium, surrounded by 14,000 of your closest aquatic friends, during this exclusive after-hours event. Come Drink Beer for a Blue Planet with us!

“One of The Florida Aquarium’s goals is to be a leader for aquatic animal conservation and research, and as one of our annual fundraising events, Brews by the Bay supports this important mission,” said Kari Goetz, Vice President of External Relations. “It’s an exciting time to bring people together in support of our Blue Planet conservation efforts. Brews is going to be a great celebration of our ocean and our community of ocean supporters.”

One hundred percent of Brews proceeds supports the Aquarium’s conservation programs. With our recent scientific breakthrough of spawning Atlantic corals in a laboratory setting, there’s even more reason to celebrate!

This event is overflowing with entertainment from #NoFilter, Orquesta Infinidad, Frankie Raye, and a Silent Disco on our rooftop! Dance the night away to #NoFilter, with chart-topping hits and awesome throwbacks. Sip and Salsa with Orquesta Infinidad, the best authentic Latin band, based in Tampa’s historic Ybor City.

Brews will feature 100+ beers from Pepin Distribution Company, including some from your local favorites: Coppertail Brewing Company, Tampa Bay Brewing Company, Angry Chair Brewing, 3 Daughters Brewing and more! NEW THIS YEAR: For non-beer drinkers, our rooftop will be overflowing with Beyond Beer products like Fling Canned Cocktails and Babe Wine.
Explore the Aquarium at night for this adults-only event. Parents grab your babysitters and enjoy this unforgettable night. Most Aquarium habitats with the exception of Moon Bay, will be open for guests to wonder and wander through, all with food and drink in hand!

VIP guests will receive exclusive access to Brews by the Bay that includes early event admission from 7-8 p.m., and an 8 oz. tasting stein. General admission guests will get a 5 oz. tasting stein.

General admission tickets are $69, and VIP tickets are $85. Event attendees must be 21 years of age with a valid ID.
