Farm Stores & Ecopod Partner to Reduce Plastic Waste with a New Product Launch

| 4/3/2019
  • Farm Stores and Ecopod have partnered to bring cleaning product refill kiosks to the convenience store franchise.
  • The kiosks enable customers to refill eco-friendly cleaning products into reusable containers.
  • The partnership is part of a larger sustainability effort to reduce plastic pollution.

Ecopod and Farm Stores have partnered to reduce plastic pollution by installing cleaning product refill stations at two of the convenience store franchise locations. The kiosks allow customers to refill eco-friendly cleaning products, rather than purchase them in single-use plastic bottles. The refill kiosks will be installed at two Farm Stores locations later this week. Both companies have initiated the partnership as part of their larger dedication to sustainability.

The kiosks, specially branded and wrapped for Farm Stores, will be installed at Farm Stores located at 9601 SW 160 St in Miami and 605 W 29th St, in Hialeah. Customers will have the ability to refill laundry detergent, fabric softener, all-purpose cleaner, manual dish detergent, and automatic dish detergent. All of the products are free from parabens, phthalates, SLS, SLES, synthetic dyes & fragrance, are responsibly sourced, and never tested on animals.

“We are always looking for ways to meet our customers’ needs,” said Maurice Bared, CEO of Farm Stores. “As families become more environmentally conscious, we are pleased to provide an option that supports them. We look forward to our new relationship with Ecopod.”

Ecopod is a Miami-based company dedicated to reducing plastic waste with its patented refill kiosks that dispense cleaning products into refillable containers. The kiosks are available for free to property managers of residential and retail buildings to encourage refill in an effort to reduce plastic waste. In addition to the partnership with Farm Stores, Ecopod has placed five systems in local residential buildings such as 2500 Biscayne and Le Parc. Ecopod also has a retail location at 9510 Old Dixie Hwy and a refill station at the Dadeland North Shopping Center at 6625 S Dixie Hwy. All of the Ecopod products and kiosks are manufactured locally.
