Nicklaus Children's Hospital Resource Center opens in Naples

| 10/29/2018

Now open on 5th Avenue South in the heart of downtown Naples, the Nicklaus Children's Resource Center showcases the programs, services, technology and innovations at Nicklaus Children's Hospital, South Florida's only licensed specialty hospital exclusively for children. Staff is available on-site to assist with referrals for second opinions and to provide access to other pediatric medical resources. In addition, the space will be used to host periodic events and meetings with patient families, referring physicians and other medical professionals about the highly specialized pediatric services available for complex illnesses and conditions for area newborns, infants, children and teens.

“Each day, an average of two children from this area travel with their families to Miami to be admitted to Nicklaus Children’s Hospital for specialized pediatric care. We are extremely excited to open our doors in the Naples community, and to spread awareness about the state-of-the-art care and services we provide at Nicklaus Children’s Hospital, here on Florida’s west coast,” said Dr. Kini.

Among the members in attendance at Thursday’s grand opening reception were Naples Vice Mayor Gary Price, Michael Dalby, Naples Chamber President, Bruce Barone, Executive Director of 5th Avenue South Business Improvement District, State Representative Bob Rommel and Ellen Seigel, Michelle McLeod, Linda Penniman and Reg Buxton, Naples City Council Members.
