A new Groupon clone comes to South Florida Tuesday, but this time with a business-to-business twist.
The Hialeah Gardens-headquartered BizGrouper.com offers discounts of 50- to 90-percent off services that small-business owners can use. The first deal will be a membership discount to the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce.
It differs from traditional group coupon sites, which otherwise target local consumers with deals to venues like spas, restaurants and entertainment events. But BizGrouper is for the business card, website and office supplies crowd.
Co-founder Alex Miranda, CEO of website and graphic design firm The Creative Complex, said he came up with the idea when his website design discount offer was rejected by Groupon.com in November.
"I noticed there weren't any niches for small business owners yet," Miranda said.
