- Air Italy began the first non-stop flights between Milan and Miami in June; the route is its second from Milan to a U.S. city.
- Airbnb announced it delivered $8.4 million in bed tax revenue to the county from April 2017 through April 2018, the first full year that the company has collected bed taxes.

- Longtime executives Rene Quintana and Laura Goldblum purchased Fine Art Lamps from retired Chairman Max Blumberg, a member of the company’s founding family, for an undisclosed price.
PLAYERS
- Fast-casual hamburger and kebab chain Pincho Factory promoted President Jayson Tipp to CEO; he replaced co-founder Nedal Ahad, who is consulting with the company and is a franchise partner.
- eMerge Americas hired Felice Gorordo as CEO and promoted Executive Vice President Melissa Medina to president. Gorordo previously led global expansion for StartUp Health. Xavier Gonzalez, who had been eMerge’s CEO, joined cybersecurity firm Cyxtera Technologies as vice president for the Cyxtera Conference and community engagement. Manuel D. Medina, eMerge’s founder, is chairman of eMerge and Cyxtera.
