Tripp Scott Expands Government Relations Division

| 3/28/2017

As the Florida legislative session heats up, Tripp Scott broadens its capacity to assist clients in developing effective strategies to ensure that their interests are heard by those who impact them.

Business leaders look to government relations teams to advocate for their concerns and understand how legislation impacts the way business is conducted. That’s one of the reasons Tripp Scott is expanding its Government Relations Division, according to Edward J. Pozzuoli.

The firm’s newest division, TSE, is lead by Candice Ericks. She joins Tripp Scott attorneys Stephanie Toothaker and Wilson Atkinson, along with Sen. Chris Smith, who recently joined the law firm.

“This area is not new to Tripp Scott, but our clients have expressed a need for a higher focus on legislative matters. We formalized our structure to manage relationships in local municipalities, Tallahassee and Washington, D.C., and to collaborate with attorneys working with our business clients on issues that impact their respective industries,” says Pozzuoli.

"Business leaders want certainty. At a time when industry regulations can change quickly, business leaders need a finger on the pulse of legislative issues. They want to comply with necessary protections and advocate to overcome bureaucracy that impedes economic growth."
