Lumina Analytics brightens future with addition of attorney Jessica Dareneau to Tampa-based operations staff

| 12/19/2016

TAMPA, Fla. -- On Dec. 13, Lumina Analytics announced the addition of attorney, Jessica Dareneau to its client services team staff in Tampa, Florida. Prior to joining Lumina, Ms. Dareneau was an insurance defense attorney as well as lead appellate counsel with Weekley, Schulte and Valdes, LLC of Tampa. She was an intern for Judge, Rex Barbas before joining the Weekley firm and was named a Super Lawyer-Rising Star in 2013 and again in 2014. Ms. Dareneau is a graduate of Stetson University College of Law and received her bachelor’s degree from Flagler College in St. Augustine, Florida. In addition to her client-facing role, Ms. Dareneau will provide in-house legal support to Lumina EVP and General Counsel, Doug Licker.

“We are very excited to have Jessica join our team,” said Lumina CEO, Allan Martin. “Our clients rely on Lumina for risk management support that often involves understanding of complex litigation and regulatory compliance. Jessica brings skills and experience that are sure to be appreciated.” Ms. Dareneau was happy practicing law, but was intrigued to look at the fast-growing technology company when she was approached by legal recruiter, Lisa Garcia. “I really was not looking to make a change,” said Dareneau. “Lisa said I should consider the opportunity with Lumina, even though she knew I was happy. When I met the Lumina team and learned more about what they were doing, I realized I was ready for a new challenge. The opportunity to join the management team of a Tampa-based technology company and use my experience as a lawyer was something I had no idea would present itself. This is a special company with a great team. I am really glad to be here.”
